Downline Integrity

There has been some discussion for a while now in some forums about downline integrity. Heck, some have even formed a “brigade” to add reputability to their opinion. Some have even gone so far as to call owners that promote affiliate links to their members crooks and thieves! What I see is fear in their eyes because their precious little “cult” is being exposed for what it really is. Nothing but smoke and mirrors covering up what they are really trying to do. They are trying to get you to do the work for them and reap the rewards of your efforts time after time.

What they are referring to is that if you join program A under “John” then you should join every new program that comes out under “John” as he is your sponsor in program A. Their beef is that some program owners are using their program to promote new programs when they launch. So they say that this breaks the downlines integrity because you didn’t join under “John” you joined under the program owner who sent an email about the program.

What they really want is for you to join everything under the sun from their link.  Therefore,  they stay on top and you remain at the bottom where they really want you. They will tell you to build relationships with your referrals and get them to follow suit and only join from their sponsor in program A. Therefore stunting their growth also and essentially turning them into a drone as well that will only join under you.  This is a great plan if you are at the top! But, what about the little guy that just joined? How does he get off the bottom?  By referring others and making MORE money for the guy at the top!

The major problem with this train of thought is that you are held back! It’s one of the reasons that only 5% of internet marketers actually make it online today! You see, where does it all start and where does it all end?  Is the first program you join that has a downline builder the one you are supposed to join everything under? Or is the one that provides you with the best support and REAL education the one?  Or do you join everything under your “best online friend” because they referred you to a program that you saw a little success from?

Here’s a question for you? In that business model you have referred 100 people and spent 6 months promoting it to get those referrals.  Then all the sudden, the program owner decides to shut down, or passes away.  What happens to those 100 referrals? How do you contact them? How do you keep your downline integrity when there is no feeder program?

Here’s the perfect solution to prevent just that from happening to you. Take the energy and focus you would put into referring those 100 people to someone elses program. Create a great Lead Capture Page and get them to join your list. Then you can contact them anytime you want. They are yours to keep until you decide to shut down, you won’t be held at bay by the guy at the top! Build a relationship with the people that join your list. Provide them with your experiences and educate them on what has worked for you and what hasn’t. Share with them programs that make a difference in your business. Help them duplicate what you are doing and allow them to GROW!

As the saying goes, give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for life!

Take a good hard look at any successful internet marketer out there.  Are they promoting “Downline Integrity”? No! They are promoting List Building and email marketing. They create their own membership sites and some mail their members daily with offers pertaining to internet marketing.

This brigade is pointing the finger at Traffic Exchange owners calling them the devil basically for doing just that. Last time I checked most traffic exchanges are free services provided for people to advertise their site. Not downline builders!! Also included in the Terms Of Service of almost every exchange I’ve seen it states that you will receive emails from the owner! Funny thing about these brigadiers is most of them are exchange owners themselves that are trying to run a downline builder within their exchange. Where is the “Downline Integrity” in that? Most of them are members of a feeder program that have created a membership site of their own.  What happens when they add a program to their downline builder that isn’t in their main feeder program and then 3 months later the main feeder program adds the same program? What happens to their “Downline Integrity” then? It’s busted because “Sally” is under “John” in the feeder program but “Sally” is under “Bob” in the exchange.  “Sally” joined under “Bob” as the exchange added the new program first. Therefore cutting “John” out of a referral in the feeder program.  Those that preach “Downline Integrity” are the real crooks in this situation in my opinion.

My final conclusion on this topic is that you break free from the chains of the brigadiers that bind you! Build an optin list of your own and begin your growth!!
